About

I am a Visual Effects Director and Designer operating out of Los Angeles.  My interests range from illustration and live-action to programming.

This blog is my technical repository – a sort of sketchbook for things that fall outside the world of my portfolio site.

  1. Hi Maurice,

Render Elements is not publicly available yet. There are some buggy versions I’ve posted at CGTalk, and you will find the thread if you search the Cinema 4D forums for Render Elements.

I’ve just started using Render Elements in production, and I’ve seen a bunch of bugs that need to be fixed and improvements/new features I’d like to add. Not sure when I’ll have the time to get around to addressing those issues.

    • Thanks, Alexey!

The pieces on my reel were made using a variety of software. For 3D, my main tools are Cinema 4D and Houdini, although a large portion of the 3D in my reel was done with 3DS Max. All of my compositing is done in After Effects, and of course Photoshop and Illustrator are used to create textures and elements.
